Privacy Policy

Autophagi ("the App") is a free fasting companion app. Your privacy matters — this policy explains what data we collect and why.

1. Data We Collect

Locally stored data only. The App stores the following on your device using local storage (Hive):

• Fasting start time
• Elapsed time and progress
• Dismissed guidance card IDs

This data never leaves your device. We do not have servers, accounts, or cloud sync. We cannot see, access, or retrieve any of your data.

2. Data Retention & Deletion

All app data is stored locally on your device only and is retained for as long as the App is installed. We do not store any of your data on external servers.

How to delete your data:

• Clear app data: Go to your device's Settings → Apps → Autophagi → Storage → Clear Data. This will permanently erase all locally stored fasting history, progress, and preferences.
• Uninstall the App: Removing the App from your device will automatically delete all data stored by Autophagi.

Since we have no servers, accounts, or cloud storage, there is no additional data to request deletion of from us. Once you clear your app data or uninstall, all your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.

For data collected by Google AdMob (see section 3 below), you can manage and delete this data through your Google account settings at myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.

3. Advertising

The App displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, including:

• Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
• IP address
• General location (country/region level)
• App usage data

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings under Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

4. Affiliate Links

Some guidance cards contain optional product links (e.g., Amazon). Tapping these opens your browser — we may earn a small commission on purchases. These links do not collect data within the App.

5. External Links

The App contains a link to an external tip jar service (Buy Me a Coffee). This third-party site has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices of external sites.

6. Medical Disclaimer

Autophagi is an informational tool only and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Extended fasting carries real health risks. You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any fast, especially if you:

• Have diabetes or blood-sugar disorders
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have a history of eating disorders
• Are under 18 years of age
• Take prescription medications
• Have kidney, liver, or heart conditions

By using the App you acknowledge these risks and agree that the developer is not liable for any adverse health effects.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at anyone under 18. Extended fasting poses serious risks to minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with a new "Effective date" at the top of this page.
